World Cup Semi Finals 2022: Teams Qualified

-The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football championship contested by the men’s national teams of the member associations of FIFA.

-It is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world and the first in a Muslim-majority country. 

The tournament will be jointly hosted by five Arab League nations: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Egypt and Morocco have also submitted bids to host parts of the tournament. 

The United States had withdrawn their bid three days before the vote was due to take place on June 5th, 2010 citing their lack of ability to host due to financial constraints set by the recession at that time. 

This left England, Russia, Spain/Portugal, and Belgium/Netherlands as the final four bidders vying for hosting duties for either 2018 or 2022. In the end, Russia was awarded hosting duties for 2018 while Qatar won their bid for 2022.

World Cup Semi Finals Bracket

The first semi-final of the FIFA World Cup will see England take on Croatia at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium on Wednesday 11 July. The second semi-final, between Belgium and France, takes place two days later at Saint Petersburg’s Krestovsky Stadium.

Both games will kick off at 7pm UK time (2pm ET / 11am PT in the US).

The winners of each semi-final will progress to the World Cup Final, which is held at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday 15 July. The losing teams will contest the Third Place Play-Off, also at Luzhniki Stadium, on Saturday 14 July.
