The MLB draft is now behind us and it’s time to take a look at which players will be making their debuts in the 2022 season. This year’s draft was unique in many ways, with several high-profile prospects electing to not play in the 2021 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Here are the complete results from Rounds 1-20 of the 2022 MLB draft, including which teams selected them and what their future outlook may be.

3rd Round Draft Picks

The MLB draft took place on Wednesday, with rounds taking place over the course of three days. 

A total of 1,217 players were selected in the 2019 MLB draft, including a record-setting 40 from Division I schools. The first 10 rounds consisted of the draft’s Conference Pool A and B selections, which included players from schools that play in conferences that received automatic bids to the NCAA tournament. 

The next 20 rounds consisted of Draft-Eligible Players who were not selected in the first 10 rounds of the draft. These players can either attend college or sign a professional contract.

In the 

MLB draft, teams take turns selecting amateur players who have not yet signed professional contracts. The order of selection is determined by the previous season’s standings, with the team that had the worst record receiving the first pick.

The draft consists of 40 rounds, and each team can pass on its pick in any round. If a team passes on its pick in a particular round, it may not select a player in that round in future drafts.

A total of 1,217 players were selected in the 2019 MLB draft. Of those players, 1,002 were selected in rounds 1-10, and 215 were selected in rounds 11-40.
